This is something I started years ago for a house mate. It's taken me so long to finish partly because I only worked at it at events, and partly because it's been packed away with my SCA stuff since the move. After my trip to Dublin I finally dug it out and finished the embroidery. Now I've got a decision to make — shall I make it into a pin cushion as I originally intended or do something else with it? It is too pretty not to properly finish it and send it on to the recipient.
This style of embroidery is modeled after the Göss vestments. I copied the raven motif from the square on the dalmatic, but used other colours. One side is a bit wonkier than I expected it to be, but other than that, it's exactly how I wanted it to turn out.
