During my visit, my sister in law asked me to knit an old-fashioned teddy bear for my nephew. As it happened, I already had noticed a Swedish knitting magazine at the airport with a pattern for 'gammaldags nallar' (old-fashioned teddy bears). Naturally, I bought it on my way back.
This was my first attempt at knitting in Swedish and the pattern was not making any sense. The numbers simply didn’t add up. Once I figured out that the reason why the pattern didn’t make any sense was that there were surplus seams involved, it was smooth sailing.
The result is absolutely worth it! Mõmmi is adorable and oh so soft. I used the same sheeps wool to stuff him as for jänku, and alpaca yarn to knit him.
