Day 21
Finished the last of the rainbow miniskeins. This one was supposed to be gimp, but my spinning was not up to par on this one. The thick single didn't turn out to be thick enough, and the thin one was so uneven that it was as thick as the thick single in places. I do want to try this again, and make the two singles with greater difference in grist.
I also spun some of the black merino/silk, but it looks much the same as before.
This one is my favourite of the three minis. I like how the colours look more distinct than on the crepe (left) and the cable (right).
I do like two colour sections on the crepe and the cable, but not the very mixed ones. It is so interesting to see what a difference plying makes — same braid, same colours, three very different yarns.
Day 22
Finished the first single of the black silk/merino.
The second photo is in artificial light and the silk colours do not show true at all. It is absolutely stunning in daylight.
Final Day
Spun some more singles of the silk/merino until my wrist told me in no uncertain terms that I had to stop spinning, or else...
So I did because it had become quite painful. I'll finish these singles some other day.
