The green yarn is finished and drying. It is also very uneven. And I worked so hard to pick out all the nepps and thick parts!
It is still so uneven that I almost didn't finish plying. This was supposed to be my best and finest yarn. It is neither, it is disappointment.
One thing that is not disappointing is the lustre of silk. I love that, it was what kept me going even though this yarn is not good enough for what I wanted it for.
Back to the drawing board. It has become painfully obvious that it doesn't matter how smooth the batt looks, it is not the prep for ultra smooth yarn. If I don't find suitable fibre soon, this whole project might get srapped.
