Finland in October is supposed to be rainy, muddy and generally not cheerful. This year was different. This autumn was exceptionally warm, when we got there they had temperatures as high as 19° Celcius during daytime. That's hot for September, very hot. The teperature went down gradually, but stayed warmer than usual. Roses in October? Insane! Here's the proof:
The poto above was taken two weeks later than this one of a maple tree in full autumn glory.
I walked past that sight every day coming from work. I thought it was beautiful how the birches in the foreground framed the maple.
One morning in our last week Mother Nature showed us another spectacular sight. A thick fog which covered up much of the modern industrial uglyness. It was breathtaking in nature, I hope this pic conveys at least a fraction of that feeling to you.
