In one of my groups in Ravelry, there was a a challenge to knit a shawl for a lego minifig of a RPG character. The dimensions were to be “about a half inch high by no more than an inch and a half wide”.
Challenge accepted.
Inspired by pattern #9, knit lengthways on 1 mm steel needles out of cotton sewing thread. Came out 2/3 inch by 2 inches. Too big.
On to try two. Pattern #21, no modifications, 5 pattern repeats, same needles, same thread, knit sideways. Exactly the right size.
Nice challenge. The most difficult part was to find a pattern with small enough repeats.
