It took longer to finish this blanket than the previous ones, because I could only knit on it on weekends, but it is done.
The pattern is going to be sideways because I didn't have enough yarn to make it square. I thought I did, but my math skills were apparently inadequate this time.
Even if it's sideways, the baby won't care, and it came out just as gorgeous I'd imagined it to be.
My brother and his wife are waiting for their first child, and naturally, I'm knitting another baby blanket. (Let me tell you, this kid is going to have a lifetime supply of knits from auntie!) It's meant to be gender neutral, a little lacy, and a little blocky at the same time.
The pattern is called 3-D Baby Blanket, and I found it on Ravelry.
I'm nearly done with the blanket body, but I haven't decided if I should do something else for the edging, or make the garter stitch border in the pattern. The garter stitch is winning right now, but barely.
