I got the laptop back on Friday. Just in time to have no time to play around with it.

This weekend we all have been packing and the last of us will move out today. That means I'll be the one who has to clean the whole house. M and P moved out gradually and took the last things yesterday. R is in the air, as I write, flying home to Stockholm. O and I will move to our respective rooms today and have to deal with the landlady.

I will move to a tiny room in a small house and I'm very worried about how all our stuff will fit there. What's worse, the house does not have Internet. I will have to talk to he housemates about getting it. Apparently there's a guy who has been thinking about it. Maybe I can convince him to get it sooner than later.

It is sad to split. Of course, we all knew we would not live like this forever, but we had a good time. I will miss everyone, house lasagne on Saturdays, grilling in the back yard and having dinners with friends. Bye Aarnimark, I have only good memories of our time here.

Another week without computer. No laptop, no news from Stockholm and no Internet from next week. I had hoped that I could upload the pictures before Sunday, but the chances of that happening are increasingly slim.

R is flying back to Stockholm on Monday and I'm stuck here. I keep on looking for work in Sweden, but I have increasingly bad feelings about ever finding anything.

I still haven't got my laptop back. They fixed it and sent to a wrong address. Today I finally got hold of someone who actually knows what they are doing and it should be sent back to Ireland next week. Let's hope I can actually get it back this time.

I had a job interview in Stockholm last week, which I thought went well. They said they'd contact me next week (this week now). It's Thursday night and I haven't heard anything from them. I'm worried.

Last weekend was Drachenwald spring Crown Tourney. It was a very good event, I got to hang out with friends whom I hadn't seen for too long. I finished six items for the A&S competition, but didn't win. One of the judges explained that while the quality of the items themselves was very good, I'd tried to cram too much into the documentation. Live and learn. I'll do better next time.

Unfortunately I was having such a good time I forgot to take any pictures. Once I get my laptop back I'll put up the pics I have.

Oh boy, time sure flies. I'm sorry I've been so quiet. My laptop blew it's cooling fan and I haven't dared to use it. Hence the lack of posts, until I realised I could use R's PC. Duh!

So here goes, a quick recap of what we've been up to with more detailed posts with pics later when I've rigged the camera to work with his PC.

I've been applying for jobs in Stockholm, went for two interviews, got one and decided not to take it. Sounds stupid? Well, sort of yes and no. I should not have applied in the first place because I didn't really like the job. When I realised I'd have to get up at 4:30 in the morning to go to a job I'd hate, I decided not to take it.

We want to move because we want to socialise with our friends, be closer to family and snuggle with our cats. There's more to it, of course, but that's the gist of it. One can't really socialise if they have to go to bed at 6PM, can they? Everybody begins their evening at that point. So we talked about it and agreed that we move to improve our life, not just because we are homesick. (Which we are.)

One interview results I haven't gotten yet, we think I probably didn't get it and they're just too chiken to let me know. I have applied for other jobs and have three interviews to go to. I'm flying to Stockholm week after next, go to the interviews and Drachenwald Crown Tourney.

Coming soon:

  1. Our trip to Bray.
  2. Yarns that I've bought.
  3. Stuff I've knit.
  4. Kampfrau stuff I've finished.
