Spring Vacation (was Double Wars)

May 23, 2009 Posted by Vaire

I'd taken vacation to go to Double Wars, but with this and that, I just didn't have the energy. So for the past week, I've been home resting.

That includes knitting, crochet, playing WoW, cat-herding and rearranging the furniture. We also went to watch the newest Star Trek on Thursday. It was much better than I expected, pretty good fun action flick, really. If you like be entertained by good special effects, eye candy and some action, go see it. Highly recommended.

When we got back from the theatre, we discovered the the kitten had tipped the ironing board so that it was blocking the door to the living room. Fortunately the door had a glass pane so we could see what was going on. After several attempts to lift the ironing board and to get inside through a balcony door, all without success, C removed the glass pane and we got the door open that way.

Sigh. Cats... Too much excitement for their own good.

Life Goes On

May 15, 2009 Posted by Vaire

I miss Ursus. I'll probably will always miss him, but he's gone and I need to go on.

A lot has happened in the past two months. I fell in love and became a girlfriend again. Then after Ursus died I moved in with him. He didn't want me to feel lonely or sad, and he didn't want Mao to be lonely while I was at work, either.

So for the past nearly three weeks I've been living in a suburb with a total of four cats. There have been some adjustments to living arrangements, but all in all, so far so good. The best thing is that there is a bath! Well, besides living with the boyfriend, of course.

I've been knitting some and crocheting some, but have forgotten to take pictures. He has a camera that I can borrow, I just need to remember to snap a few when it's light outside.
