Thre has been knitting. Just a little here and there. Mainly when the others watch movies and I can't sew in the dark.

Purple Berries Sock

This time I decided to do a toe-up sock. I began with casting on 30 stitches on 2mm needles, worked a short row toe, picked up 30 stitches and knit a round. Then I decided to do a rib on the top of the foot. I am halfway down the foot already. Yes, my feet are that small.

This is the outfit I wore to the Court of Love.

Servant class outfit from Maciejowski Bible.

There were many of different competitions during the day. I won the award for the best day dress with this outfit. The award was a beautiful handbound notebook.

The event was a success. We arrived late on Friday, socialized a little and went to bed. On Saturday we all had loads of fun, more socializing and lots of partying. It was one of the best events I've been to.

During the Saturday activities it became clear that I had overlooked a crucial part of my wardrobe — a hood. Although I was wearing a headrail and a wool dress, my neck was completely exposed and I am paying the price of stupidity with a cold.

There will be pictures of the event once I get them uploaded.

There is another event coming up this weekend. We all have been busy making new clothes/stuff for it.

I began eating more conciously and more healthy last September. The work has been extremely stressful lately and I've fallen back to comfort-eating. The result is that I've gained back all that I lost during those months. I have no clue if I'm back to 80 kilos or have I gained more than I lost because I don't have scales yet. I'm planning to go shopping on Monday and buy myself some scales and a mini trampoline. I will also begin the good eating plan again, walk home from work (4 km) and exercise at least for 10 min every day. Good plan, eh? There will be days when I will not be able to stick to the plan, but if I keep losing weight it's all good.

I want to keep track of the progress (or regress) so I'll post the morning weight here every day. That way you all can see how pitiful my efforts are.

I apologise for not keeping up with the posting. I couldn't post at work anymore and was extremely busy at home. This week has been very blurry, I did get the tunic finished, but I don't remember if it was Monday or Tuesday. I was so tired last night that I went to bed at seven and didn't wake up until 9 this morning.

The fact that I didn't finish the tunic by Saturday evening was allright because we had a workshop instead of an event, nobody dressed in medieval clothes. I finished putting in gores on Thursday, I attached the sleeves and finished the neckline on the bus on Friday. On Saturday I was helping people to make patterns and sew their garb, the only thing I got done was to cut the hem. I began stitching on that on Sunday.

Hereare some 'before' and 'after' (or 'in process') pictures of our house.
