Another one of my colleagues got their first baby. As has become a tradition, I gave her my baby book and she chose the Hooded Blanket. I'd been wanting to knit that since I saw the book for the first time, so that made me very happy. They chose this amazingly soft yarn that was a real pleasure to knit.
I followed the pattern for the hood precisely as it was in the book, but it came out bigger than the corner of the blanket. I'll try something else the next time. The colleague was very happy with how the blanket came out, and that's all that matters.
